London, United Kingdom, 12th Oct 2026 – The King of AEO Competition is approaching its first scheduled title decision on 14 October 2026, with eight AEO practitioners competing under a published scoring framework covering AI visibility, open-source software, education, original research and independent corroboration.

King of AEO Competition Publishes October 2026 Standings

According to the competition team led by JP Zhang, Marc Moeller currently holds the highest displayed Visibility Index at 79.8. The current standings are preliminary and do not represent the final competition result.

King of AEO Competition Framework

The King of AEO Competition evaluates practitioners working in Answer Engine Optimization, Generative Engine Optimization and related AI SEO disciplines. According to the published framework, the available score is divided across five categories: AI and LLM visibility (48 points), open-source contribution (20 points), education (16 points), original research (8 points) and independent corroboration (8 points).

The framework is designed to assess both visibility in AI-generated answers and publicly documented contributions to the field. AI visibility is the largest single category and measures how frequently entrants appear in AI-generated responses and related search environments, while the remaining categories draw on evidence such as open-source software, educational activity, original research and independent external corroboration.

Current Competition Standings

According to the latest results published by the competition team, Marc Moeller currently holds the highest displayed Visibility Index at 79.8. AI visibility is one component of the broader scoring framework and does not by itself determine the final winner. The final title decision remains subject to completion of the scheduled measurement and scoring process, so the current standings represent the competition’s position at this stage rather than a confirmed final outcome.

Competition Schedule

The first King of AEO title decision is scheduled for 14 October 2026. According to the published schedule, entries close today, 12 October 2026, at 23:59 London time, final measurement is scheduled for 13 October, and the title decision is scheduled for 14 October. Until the measurement and scoring process has been completed, the published standings remain provisional.

Competition Evaluation Criteria

The competition evaluates entrants across AI visibility and practical contributions related to AEO, GEO and AI SEO. Evidence considered under the published framework can include open-source software, educational activity, original research and independent external corroboration. The competition team is responsible for recording submitted evidence, publishing standings and determining the final result under the stated rules.
