Texas-based registry expands online registration options for designer, mixed, and other dogs without prior registration documentation.
AUSTIN, TX — Designer Kennel Club (DKC), an independent dog registry based in Texas, announced an expansion of its online registration platform to more than 85 dog breeds, including designer breeds, mixed breeds, and selected French Bulldog and Bully varieties.
The expanded platform allows owners of eligible dogs without prior registration documentation to apply for DKC registration online. DKC said its Foundation Dog Registration is available for a one-time fee of $65, with registration certificates delivered electronically within approximately 2–3 business days.
“Many dog owners have pets for which they do not have registration documentation,” said Linh Hoang, Founder of Designer Kennel Club. “DKC was established to provide an additional registration option for owners and breeders whose dogs fall outside the registration systems available to them.”
The designer dog breeds registry currently lists more than 85 breeds and varieties, according to DKC, with individual breed information and registration requirements. The registry includes Goldendoodles, Bernedoodles, Cavapoos, French Bulldog color varieties, and Bully varieties, among others.
DKC also offers litter registration for breeders at a listed fee of $100. According to the organization, individual puppies receive DKC registration numbers that can subsequently be used by new owners to complete individual registration for a listed fee of $45.
DKC provides registration for dogs without prior documentation through its register a dog without AKC papers service. The organization states that its registration is separate from registration with the American Kennel Club (AKC).
DKC also provides information about obtaining registration documentation for dogs without previous papers through its guide on how to get papers for a dog without papers.
The organization said its platform is available to dog owners and breeders throughout the United States and internationally, with registration applications completed online.
